Findings of the Gorshenin Institute's poll which were presented at the IV National Expert Forum “From the Revolution to a New Country” (17 June, 2014, Kiev)

1. What path of integration should Ukraine choose?

  • European Union - 59.7%
  • Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan - 18.8%
  • Neither the EU nor the Customs Union - 9.7%

2. If held today, how would you vote in a referendum on Ukraine's accession to the European Union?

  • Definitely YES - 27.3%
  • Most likely YES - 34.2%
  • Most likely NO - 13.2%
  • Definitely NO - 14.8%

3. If held today, how would you vote in a referendum on Ukraine's accession to NATO?

  • For joining NATO - 47.3%
  • Against joining NATO - 36.2%

4. Do you believe that Russia provides arms to the separatists and directs their actions?

The poll was carried out on 1-14 May, 2014 by Gorshenin Institute. It randomly polled 2,000 respondents aged over 18 years in all Ukrainian regions (except Crimea). The poll took into account the region of residence, sex and age of respondents. The margin of error is within 2.2 per cent.
